In the 2009-2010 flu season, there are two flu bugs to avoid. In addition to the “seasonal” flu that shows up every year, there is H1N1 (formerly called “swine” flu). |

You can help reduce the spread of both forms of the flu. Just remember these simple tips:
|
- Cough/sneeze into a tissue (and trash it) or use your sleeve.
- Wash your hands often with warm water and soap.
- If you or your children are sick, stay home.

The best way to prevent the flu is by getting flu shots. Certain groups have higher risk of flu complications, and are especially urged to get the vaccines. Children 6 months through 18 years old are one of these groups.
There are different vaccines for seasonal and H1N1 flu. KidzPartners covers both. Check with your child’s doctor soon about the shot(s) he or she should have. |
